Conservation Stewardship Program

Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP)

Among the challenges the State of Illinois faces in its effort to manage its natural resources is preserving and enhancing biological resources in a landscape that is 90 percent privately owned.

The mission of the Conservation Stewardship Program is to encourage landowners to advance the stewardship of our natural heritage for future generations by preserving the plants, animals and natural communities through management of the lands and waters they need to survive.

Forestry Management Plan and Implementation Cost Share available through the Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP).  For more information please contact your local NRCS office.

If you have any questions please contact the CSP Office at 217-785-8284.
