I. MUNICIPAL WOOD RECYCLING PROGRAMS II. MUNICIPAL WOOD RECYCLING REFERENCES
III. URBAN FOREST SAWMILLS The following list is being generated to provide municipalities with a list of sawmills that focus exclusively on milling wood from our community and urban forests. These sawmills have chosen to specialize in creating wood products from trees grown exclusively within our communities. They provide services of milling, transport, woodworking and/or basically converting the trees in our back yards to useable products. The trees in our backyard that provided us with shade, wildlife with homes and protected our urban soils can now live on as a piece of furniture, a bench, or flooring in your own home. This listing is for municipal and citizen use and does not constitute an endorsement by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources of any company listed. The list is being generated as a service to Illinois citizens and as a means of informing people of the opportunities for using urban wood.
