Q. How much is a subscription to OutdoorIllinois?
A. You will receive 12 magazines, plus the annual wall calendar in the December issue, for $15. A two-year subscription is $28 and a three-year subscription is $41.

Q. Where can I buy OutdoorIllinois locally?
A. At this time, only limited vendors exist in Illinois. Your best bet for purchasing an individual copy of the
magazine ($3) is by contacting our office.

A. Information submitted on-line is protected by the use of a secure socket layer (SSL) on our website.
Q. How will my gift subscription be recognized?
A. Subscriptions are great gifts and remind someone 12 times a year of your thoughtfulness. A postcard
acknowledging your gift subscription will be sent in your name.
Q. When can I expect delivery of my first magazine?
A. Your first OutdoorIllinois magazine should arrive 4-6 weeks after the receipt of payment (depending on when
the information arrives during the production cycle). If a greater period of time passes, please e-mail dnr.editor@illinois.gov or call our customer service line at 1-800-720-3249.
Q. I know my subscription expiration information is encrypted on my mailing label but how do I read
it?
A.
Here’s how you can read our mailing label to determine when your
subscription expires. Begin with the line directly above your name.
The first six characters refer to your name, followed by five characters
of your address and your five-digit Zip code. The next four numerals
show the expiration date (0508 means your subscription expires in the
fifth month of the year 08 or May 2008). That is followed by the date
your subscription started (0506 means it began in May 2006).

I’m moving. How do I change my address?

We’d greatly appreciate 6-8 weeks notice, including both your current and future addresses, to help ensure that

Q. How do I replace a missed or damaged issue?
A.
Occasionally an issue may arrive damaged, or it may be inadvertently
misdirected in delivery. If you call our customer service toll-free
number (1-800-720-3249), or send an email to dnr.editor@illinois.gov
within 60 days of the missed/damaged issue’s cover date we will
gladly send a replacement magazine.
Q. Can I submit a story idea or photo for consideration?
A. Queries can be directed to the OutdoorIllinois editor by e-mailing dnr.editor@illinois.gov or calling (217)785-4193.
Q. Can I purchase a back issue of the magazine?
A. No. We no longer sell back issues.
Q. Is an OutdoorIllinois subscription available for Illinois schools?
A. Yes, schools receive a discount subscription rate when submitting a letter on school letterhead. For further information, send an e-mail to dnr.editor@illinois.gov.
