Controlled Pheasant Hunting News

Eldon Hazlet State Park will be closed beginning Thursday, December 31st, 2015.  The park is being closed due to the high water level at Carlyle Lake which will prevent safe access to the park.  As a result, the Controlled Pheasant Hunting Program at Eldon Hazlet will be suspended on Thursday December 31st, 2015 through Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016.

As a Controlled Pheasant Hunting Reserved Permit holder for this period, your options for your Permit include:

1.  The permit may be transferred to a later hunt date at Eldon Hazlet or another IDNR operated site with hunt dates later than Jan. 10th.  To transfer the Permit please use the Reserved Permit Transfer Feature on the Controlled Pheasant Hunting Website.  The Permit will need to be transferred 24 hours prior to the hunt date.

2.  You may have us cancel your Reserved Permit.  If you have us cancel your Permit, we will credit the Permit and transaction fees to the credit card account used to reserve the Permit.  You will need to notify us by return e-mail that you would prefer to have the Permit cancelled.  Please provide the Permit holders name as it appears on the Permit and the Permit holders IDNR Customer number with the return e-mail.
