Saybrook Habitat Area Hunter Fact Sheet
2012 - 2013 Season
The Department of Natural Resources is responsible for preservation and restoration of wildlife habitat and for providing hunting opportunity for the residents of this state. The Saybrook Habitat Area purchased with revenue generated through the sale of the Illinois Pheasant Stamp and developed with the cooperation of the McLean County Chapter of Pheasants Forever provides high quality permanent habitat for ring-necked pheasants and hunting opportunity for Illinois sportsmen.
LOCATION: This area consists of 5 tracts totaling 646 acres located between 3700 E. Rd and 4000 E. Rd and between 1200 N. Rd and 1500 n. Rd. which is 2 miles north of Saybrook in eastern McLean County.

SEASONS, HOURS, LIMITS:
Pheasant, rabbit, and quail hunting is by free Permit Only issued through Springfield. Permits are issued for the first and second day of the statewide upland game season and on each subsequent Wednesday and Saturday in November and on each Thursday and Sunday in December, through December 24. Statewide hunting hours are sunrise to 4pm and daily limit apply.OTHER SPECIAL REGULATIONS:
Grassland habitat renovation will be occurring on the area. These activities are designed to improve pheasant habitat.
