The Department of Natural Resources is responsible for the preservation and restoration of wildlife habitat and for providing hunting opportunity for the residents of this state. The area provides high quality permanent habitat for ring-necked pheasants and hunting opportunity for Illinois sportsmen. The site is a satellite of Iroquois County Wildlife Area.
LOCATION: This area is located in north west Iroquois county, 6 miles west and ½ mile south of Clifton on county road 500E and 2900N.

The total area of the site is 76.0 acres. 74.0 acres is open to hunting. Cover types include cool season grasses and legumes (36.2 acres) and mixed native prairie grasses and forbs ( 40.0 acres).
SEASONS, HOURS, LIMITS
Pheasant, rabbit and quail hunting is by free Permit Only. Permits are issued for the first and second day of the statewide upland game season and on each subsequent Wednesday and Saturday in November and on each Thursday and Sunday in December, through December 24. Hunting hours are until 4:00pm and limits are statewide.
OTHER SPECIAL REGULATIONS:
Grassland habitat renovation will be occurring on the area. These activities are designed to improve pheasant habitat.
