Pioneer craft demonstrations, children’s games and other family entertainment highlight the annual "Old Settler Days" celebration on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 - 28, at Red Hills State Park in Lawrence County.

The Red Hills Settlers Association and the Department of Natural Resources co-sponsor the festival celebrating and re-creating pioneer life of the early 1800s. "Old Settler Days" features free admission and free parking, and is scheduled from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on April 27 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on April 28.

A courtesy shuttle service will be provided between camping and parking areas and the festival grounds, with a horse-drawn stage coach offering free rides on the festival grounds.

Red Hills State Park, offering fishing, boating, picnic facilities, Class A campsites and dining in the Trace Inn Restaurant, is located on U.S. Rt. 50 near Sumner.

Admission and parking to Old Settler Days is free.
