Cabin Rental Information
The cabin consists of two rooms that total approximately 200 square feet. The cabin is located near the shore of the lake facing the southeast overlooking the water. The area is shaded and fairly secluded. At this time there in no dock for boats at the cabin, but a dock is nearby at the boat launch. A Maximum of 6 people allowed. Campground Hours
You may check in anytime between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Check out time is 3:00 p.m. the following day. If you are planning on staying another night, please ask to renew your campsite by 10:00 a.m. Visitors are welcome to visit with you while you are camping, but we request that they leave by 10:00 p.m. The gate to the campground is locked at 10:00 p.m. to ensure safety for all our campers. In emergency situations, contact the campground host.
From November 1st through April 30th , you may check in anytime between 8:00 a.m. and Sunset. All visitors should leave before sundown. The gate to the campground will be locked at sunset.
To ensure safety for the campers a tire shredder is activated when the campground closes for the night. Campers can leave in an emergency situation, but entrance is denied under any circumstances.
Campground Information
Shabbona Lake State Park Campground is a semi-wooded area with 150 Class A sites with electricity, showers, vehicular access, boat launch, playground, kid’s fishing area, and The Camp Store. No more running into town when you have forgotten an item, just walk over to The Camp Store to find it. We have everything you need! Bring your kids over and use our loaner fishing poles! We also have paddle boats that you may rent to enjoy a scenic view of Shabbona Lake. Make sure you visit our Web Page on The Camp Store!
Each campsite has a gravel parking space, picnic table, and a campfire ring. Camp fires are only allowed in the ring. Please use dead wood on the ground in your immediate area, bring your own wood or buy some at the Camp Store. All vehicles must park on the gravel pads. Please remember to erect your tent on or within 15 feet of the gravel pad.
A single camp is considered to be a family of no more than four adults, or a group of no more than four unrelated adults. Four unrelated adults without children may occupy up to two tents per campsite.
Camping Permits
A camping permit must be obtained from the park staff or campground host prior to setting up your camp. Camping permits must be displayed on the wooden post with the campsite number. Please keep your receipt with you, if you leave the campground you will need the receipt to re-enter.
Length of Stay
Between May 1 and September 30, you can camp for a maximum of 14 days in a 30 day period. From October 1 to April 30, you may camp for an unlimited number of nights. Please do not leave your camp unoccupied for no more than 24 hours. Your permit could be revoked if you leave your camp continuously vacant for longer than 24 hours. No refunds will be issued.

The Shabbona Lake State Park Campground is not for parties or other noisy nighttime activities. Those individuals who violate park rules, particularly regarding noise levels, alcoholic beverage possession and consumption, and closing hours, will be arrested and/or evicted.
