 People and Animals From Illinois’ Past Trunk

People and Animals from Illinois' Past Trunk

Prehistoric mammals, extirpated mammals and Native Americans and their relationship with nature are all topics you can teach about by using the items in this resource trunk.

Targeted Grades: PreK - 6.

Contents include: mammoth and mastodon tooth replicas; species replicas; Native American games; activities; mammoth hair; posters; replica pottery; a video; reference books; and natural items used by Native Americans. Trunk contents are correlated to the Illinois Learning Standards, and the correlation to the Next Generation Science Standards will soon be available. Watch the video to learn more details!

Lending locations are listed below. Call or email to make your reservation. A two-week loan period is suggested. There is no charge to borrow the trunk, although a refundable deposit may be requested.
