•Three hundred ninety-nine Illinois
aquatic species representing mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes,
plants, invertebrates and protists are presented in a searchable, field guide format.
•At least one
color photograph of each species is included, although most have several photo options.
•Information about
features, behaviors, habitat, Illinois range, classification and status
(endangered/threatened; native/exotic) for each species is accessible.
•The sounds produced
by approximately 80 species are included with descriptions in the text section for
the hearing impaired.
•Descriptions
and photographs of nine Illinois aquatic habitats are shown.
•This CD-ROM is available to teachers in Illinois by written request on school letterhead and at lending locations statewide.
