WELCOME

Welcome to the Land of Lincoln and home of the 2009 Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference! December 6-9, 2009 marks the 70th year that natural resource professionals in the Midwest will meet to share new research, management experiences, and valuable insight on fish and wildlife issues. The Midwest is the premier fish and wildlife conference in the central U.S. with more than 1,000 attendees at past conferences.
We are expecting tremendous interest in the 2009 conference due to the location, the excellent plenary speakers, and the content of the workshops and breakout sessions. The Hilton is located in the heart of downtown Springfield, which is rich in Abraham Lincoln history. In addition to discussing fish and wildlife issues, conference attendees will experience Lincoln’s story as never told before. Our welcome social will be held at the prestigious Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and while in town, you’ll walk the same streets Lincoln and his family walked 165 years ago. We encourage you to browse our website and to contact us with any questions. Register (by November 6, 2009) and reserve your room early (by November 16, 2009) to ensure the best rates. The submittal deadline for oral and poster presentations is September 4th. We look forward to seeing you in Springfield in December!
