The POWER and SWIM Tests have been completed. 40 Successful applicants have been invited to the Oral Interviews beginning next week March 19, 20, 21 at assigned times.
Background investigations will immediately begin after the interviews.
Chosen applicants from the interviews will then be invited to the psychological testing.
Chosen applicants from psychological testing will be invited to the medical screening.
Projected Reporting Date for Recruit Orientation Week is June 4, 2012.

For those applicants not selected, a letter from the IDNR Director of Human Resources, Michelle Cusumano, explaining Veterans Preference is included.
Veterans Preference:
(20 ILCS 415/8b.7) (from Ch. 127, par. 63b108b.7)Sec. 8b.7.(f):
(f) The rank order of persons entitled to a preference on eligible lists shall be determined on the basis of their augmented ratings. When the Director establishes eligible lists on the basis of category ratings such as "superior", "excellent", "well‑qualified", and "qualified", the veteran eligibles in each such category shall be preferred for appointment before the non‑veteran eligibles in the same category.
