- Beall Woods State Park – Tuliptree and White Oak are open and clear, and Schneck is open with some muddy areas. Sweet Gum and Ridgway are currently closed.
- Fort Massac –The 1802 American Fort will be closed to the public until further notice.
- Giant City State Park - Due to damage from the Feb. 29, 2012 tornado, the following areas of Giant City State Park are closed to the public due to safety reasons: Post Oak Trail and bluff area (which includes the bluff line along Giant City Lodge Road). The 12 Mile Red Cedar Trail will be closed for the rest of the year in order to make repairs. The shower building in the Equestrian campground is closed.
- Golconda Marina - Rauchfuss Hill is currently closed.
- Horseshoe Lake – The Lake is open for fishing, with 4 boat ramps operational however only trolling motors are allowed on the lake until March 1st. The west side campground is now open, however the east side remains closed.
- Mermet Lake - Mermet Swamp Nature Preserve trail is still closed until further notice. The main lake levee will be closed to vehicle traffic starting May 08, 2012 for repairs. Estimated time for repairs to be completed is two weeks.
- Newton Lake – The small day use area North of the park shop is closed indefinitely due to storm damage. The mountain bike trail is closed indefinitely due to washed out areas.
During hunting season, many sites are closed or partially closed to the public. Public should contact the site directly closure updates and/or winter hours before going to site.
